1. In the top RIGHT corner of this page (or any page on the wiki), click Join.
2. Choose a username and password; enter your e-mail address.
NOTE: It may take a couple tries to think of a username that isn't already taken by someone else. Our preference is that you choose a username that makes it easy to identify you (your first name and last initial or something like that), but that is not absolutely necessary. It is, however, necessary for your username to be school-appropriate.
Now you're ready to join the class wiki
1. Come back to our homepage (http://martinla.wikispaces.com).
2. Click on Join this Wiki in the top LEFT corner of the page.
3. In the "comments" box, type your first name, last name, the hour you have language arts, and your password (if you want me to keep it on record in case you lose it).
FOR EXAMPLE: If Richard Starkey is a 5th hour student and registers as backbeat4, his comment box will have this typed in it: Richard Starkey, 5th, password. Then when I get a request from backbeat4 I'll know who it is and which hour they have class, which will make it possible for me to give that person points for participating in the discussion!
Now you wait!
After you request to join the class wiki, I'll get a message asking me to approve you. I'll check for requests every few hours after school gets out. After you are accepted to the class wiki (not just a member of Wikispaces), you can participate in class discussions. Just choose your class from the sidebar on the right and follow the instructions. Make sure to click on the topic I post, don't start a new topic for your response. If you wish, you may start a new topic just to talk to your classmates, but the topic for class (your homework) will always be posted by Ms. Shedd or Ms. Martin and will be titled "Week__, mm/dd/yy."
There are several steps to joining this wiki.
I'll try to make them easy to understand. To join Wikispaces
